Amandeep Singh Accident: Driver Arrested And Charged

According to Police, an automobile accident on Long Island on Wednesday night claimed the lives of two teens and injured another two.

Police say that a 34-year-old man from Roslyn named Amandeep Singh was operating a 2019 Dodge Ram on North Broadway in Jericho when he struck a 2019 Alpha Romero 4-door sedan carrying four teenage males.

Two of the youngsters, both 14 years old, were fatally injured in the collision and were declared dead on the spot, according to the Police.

Aged 16 and 17, the other two teenagers were taken to a hospital and are now in stable condition.

Following the initial collision, the 2023 Volvo, driven by a 49-year-old woman and carrying a 16-year-old boy, was also hit by the Alpha Romero.

They received minor injuries treatment on the spot and were then let go.

Singh was detained and sent to a hospital with minor wounds. He’ll be arraigned on Thursday after being charged with aggravated vehicular homicide.

Two Victims Killed In Crash

Two teenage boys were killed, and two others were hospitalized in a terrible late-night crash in Jericho allegedly caused by an intoxicated driver going the wrong way.

According to Nassau County Police, Singh, the vehicle carrying the four youngsters, was struck on North Broadway at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday. Singh operated a Dodge Ram and traveled south in the highway’s northbound lanes.

Two guys, both 14 years old, perished at the scene, while the other two lads, ages 16 and 17, were taken to the hospital with internal injuries.

According to a statement the principal sent to parents on Thursday morning, the two slain boys were students at Roslyn Middle School.

News 4 has learned that at least one of the two fatalities was a highly renowned and top-ranked tennis player who, although only in middle school, was a star on the varsity squad of the nearby high school.

The four boys in the car appeared to be coming home after dinner to celebrate their tennis match victory.

After being struck by the pickup truck, the boys’ car collided with another vehicle carrying a woman, 49, and a teenager, 16 years old. They were treated and then released.
